I had my appt to get my #petscan results for my final lymph node. #scanxiety is real. ππ»ππ€

I checked myself in at the desk, and waited in the waiting room for about an hour. They weighed me in, which is now 122.8 π€π» I got placed into the room and asked to put the dreaded gown on. π

My #oncologist comes in about 15 minutes later to discuss my results and to have an exam. π ( never my favourite part) She tells me that my lymph node that they tested for on the pet scan is clear and non active, and the image showing up is in fact the damageπππππ Guys I cried so hard. Once I got my shit together, she then explained to me that Iβm a bit of a medical mystery in fact. She will be reviewing my case with other drs. She explained that typically pet scans are created to show active cancer cells, and mine decided to show active burning metabolic cells. Basically, my scan showed my body burning fat cells at a high rate. Whatever I was injected with during the scan, my body was burning it off within that timeframe. She was fascinated to say the least π€·πΌββοΈ

She mentioned she wanted to send me for one more #MRI to continue to inspect the level of damage caused from my previous treatments. Iβm also being referred to a #menopause specialist, as I am confirmed into #medicalmenopause β₯οΈππ» Yippeeee π
