I think the biggest misconception that people have with cancer is that it’s strictly just for older people.
It’s important for me to keep sharing that it’s just not the fact. When I was first diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer, I was 34. Once I had cancer, the one line I heard every single day was “ but your so young….“
But I’m not. Not with cancer. There’s many others younger than me, who face cancer too. All sorts of cancer, cervical, breast, skin, colon and lung cancer. I’ve seen it take people from this earth, that haven’t yet even had a chance to experience it. Cancer doesn’t have age requirements.
I’m proud and grateful to say that I’m now 35, almost 36, and I’m a freaking cancer warrior. I’ve kicked it’s ass and everyday I appreciate what it’s taught and given me back. This is what my remission looks like.
“I am the storm” 🌪
Huge thank you to @five_eau for this beautiful sage green “I am the storm” sweater. 👚💚
It’s soooooo soft inside and incredibly comfy. I’ve never had a sweater more fitting for who I am and what I’ve been through. 🙏🏻 It held up perfect for our trail hike to the Devils Punch bowl waterfall. ( Quick video posted to reels and Tik Tok )
If you don’t know about @five_eau , their mission statement is geared around connections! I think it’s so important to connect with nature, the water, our health and the community. I highly recommend checking them out.
Head to @five_eau on IG and take a look at their “I am the storm” sweaters. They can make any survivor feel on top of the damn world 💕
