📍 Rockway Side Trail – Grimsby, Ontario.

This photo was taken a few weeks ago now, and what a view this was. Spent a few hours hiking at the Rockway Conservation Area on the Rockway Side trail with the family. I really love exploring new trails we haven’t been to, especially with the girls. It’s been one of our favourite pastimes lately. “Where we going next?”

Rockway, I’d say leans on the moderate to difficult side of the trails we’ve hiked in the past. We parked near the community centre and walked from the trail at the top. Going down the escarpment is ok, but that incline on the way back up the escarpment is a doozy and killed most of us who were walking that trail! 🤗😅 Except for this one mom, carrying her newborn in a baby backpack around this trail like it’s nothing. That woman was amazing, I even told her that 😂😂

Once you do get to the bottom of the escarpment, you will have to crawl across larger rocks to get to the bottom of this falls. 🧐It’s not a flat trail by any means. It’s a busier trail, but everyone is really kind about space and has a lot of patience giving you room to take your photos at the bottom.

This day was longer in terms of steps, we managed to get around 7000 steps crawling around the rocks and hiking the escarpment. It was a warm one to boot 🥾 Overall, amazing hike! Video posted to Reels / Tik Tok if you want to check the trail out a bit more! 💕
