📍 Dufferin Islands Nature Area, Niagara Falls

Clearly this isn’t the weather outside today because it’s crappy and raining, but I can certainly reminisce to better times. ☔️

This is actually a picture I took from one of my families favourite picnic spots that we go to. We take a little portable bbq and have a picnic out to the side of the busy part of Niagara Falls. Clifton Hill can get a little overwhelming at times, so this is a nice escape from the crowd.

Dufferin Islands is a cute little nature trail that also has spots setup with picnic tables to have a little picnic or some takeout with the family. Theres a few little trails and there’s lots of little wildlife to see like chipmunks, squirrels, ducks and geese around the trails. It’s so quiet here that it’s hard to believe it’s so close to the falls.

This park is the one that has lights setup in it as part of the Festival of Lights. I have been going to this park since I was little with my parents. Now, I enjoy those same memories with my kids. It’s always fun getting to share bits of my childhood with them.
