Summer is finally here and we couldn’t be more excited! We spend a lot of time outdoors exploring the trails and local businesses together as a family and we end up finding the most beautiful spots together.

For this hike, we parked at the Battlefield House in Stoney Creek and trekked it through the back trails to the bottom of the Devils punch bowl. I would label this trail a bit more intermediate as it’s not exactly flat, paved or easy to get to. Not stroller friendly. There is a few inclines on the trails, but nothing extreme.

This spot has a lot to offer. Not only is there this beautiful waterfall, but the colours in the soil are incredible, and there’s also a tunnel that has some really fantastic graffiti right by it. At the top of the devils punch bowl, there’s a look out overlooking Hamilton and Lake Ontario. It’s a pretty majestic spot and one of our favs to explore. We’ve got a lot of family memories here.
